Accessibility & inclusive experiences

Access needs vary. Good planning starts with people.

No single support works for everyone or every event. We share confirmed access information in advance and invite participants to contact us with specific questions or accommodation requests.

Move & play

Adaptive tennis and inclusive athletics

Regular tennis programming for blind and low-vision participants may use audible tennis balls, tactile or verbal orientation, modified play formats, trained instructors, and other adaptive approaches suited to the program.

ASL interpretation or other communication support may be scheduled or requested for deaf and hard-of-hearing participants. Mobility considerations for wheelchair users depend on the venue and program. Contact us for current details and confirmed supports.

Gather & connect

Inclusive downtown Detroit dining

Curated dining experiences support social connection through advance coordination with participating restaurants and a contact for individual access questions.

  • Scheduled ASL interpreters
  • Large-print, Braille, or accessible digital menus
  • Clear entrance, seating, restroom, transportation, and mobility details

Availability varies. Event listings will identify which supports are confirmed; not every restaurant or gathering includes every feature.

Our planning process

From listening to learning.

  1. 1. Listen to community interests and access needs.
  2. 2. Identify promising mainstream opportunities and partners.
  3. 3. Review likely participation barriers.
  4. 4. Coordinate practical accessibility supports.
  5. 5. Communicate event details clearly before registration.
  6. 6. Gather feedback and improve future experiences.

Next step

Partner on an inclusive community experience.

We invite venues, restaurants, sports programs, cultural organizations, interpreters, sponsors, and local businesses to collaborate.
