AX Axcultivated Inclusive arts, culture, and community

About Axcultivated

Everyone deserves the opportunity to connect, explore, and belong.

Axcultivated believes culture is for everyone. We create inclusive opportunities for people who are blind or have low vision, are deaf or hard of hearing, or use wheelchairs to participate in arts, sports, social events, dining, and community life.

Rather than creating separate experiences, we help make mainstream cultural and community activities more accessible, welcoming, and meaningful for all.

Our founder

Born from a belief in belonging.

Tania Bennett

Founded by Detroit native Tania Bennett, Axcultivated grew from the belief that everyone deserves the opportunity to connect, explore, and belong. That belief guides the organization’s work to create joyful shared experiences and lasting community relationships.

Access from the beginning

Accessibility is part of the experience—not an afterthought. We consider how people learn, arrive, communicate, participate, and contribute.

Mainstream participation

We seek opportunities for people with disabilities to take part in the cultural and community experiences their neighbors enjoy.

Partnership in practice

Community organizations, institutions, restaurants, venues, businesses, sponsors, and volunteers all help remove barriers and build connection.

Next step

Help cultivate a more welcoming community.

We welcome community members, venues, institutions, restaurants, sponsors, and volunteers.
